Now, in the brand new incarnation of Marvel's Ultimate Universe, Peter Parker and Mary Jane are a married couple with two kids - and in this brand new continuity, Peter is just now developing his spider-powers at age 35.

The best love interest in Spider-Man's life was the only woman who went on to become his wife. This was model Mary Jane Watson, someone who Peter knew was way out of his league, but someone who fell in love with him anyway. Their marriage was one of the best in Marvel Comics' history.

Following the events of the original clone saga, Peter realizes that Mary Jane is the girl he has always loved, and the two begin dating again. Despite loving Peter, MJ does not wish to be tied down. Yet, she allows the relationship to progress and is left with a difficult decision when Peter proposes to her.

MJ does say Peter Parker's full name three times during their interaction, so perhaps that is a loophole to the spell. Doctor Strange also could've connected her memories returning to a specific memory of MJ and Peter, such as her saying about expectations and disappointment.
